BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- Bangor's downtown area is blooming with flowers.
The flowers are blooming between Washington and Central Streets along the Kenduskeag Stream Canal. A group of downtown business owners organize the project every year.
They say it couldn't be done without their sponsor, Merrill Bank, and the planting and gardening work of Everlasting Farm in Bangor. Business owners say they hope the flowers bring good cheer to the area.
"We're done with winter and it's time for summer and this adds life to what has been very gray. It's just pretty and people enjoy it," said Sonya Eldridge, owner of Bagel Central.
An annoynmous donor gave the 64 flower pots along the stream.
