WEST PARIS (AP) -- A landmark store in western Maine that sells minerals and gems is shutting its doors after 90 years in business.

Perham's Minerals in West Paris, which was founded by Stanley Perham in 1919, has been described as a "rockhound's gold mine." It has sold locally mined gems and minerals, equipment to hunt minerals in the Oxford Hills region and a map to the local quarries it owns.

A closing sale will be held July 3-5.
