BLAINE (NEWS CENTER)-- State police are investigating an ATV accident that happened Tuesday afternoon in the Aroostook County town of Blaine.

They say 23-year-old Jeremy Anderson of Monticello was riding his ATV with a group of riders. Police say the riders were trying to get on a trail on Pierce Road when Anderson lost control of his ATV and it rolled and landed on top of him.

Police say Anderson was not wearing a helmet, and sustained a head injury.

Anderson was taken to Aroostook Medical Center then flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Wednesday afternoon, he was listed in serious condition.
