ANDOVER (AP) -- Maine Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins say Ethan Allen workers who lost their jobs in Andover are eligible for Federal Trade Adjustment Assistance.

The furniture maker announced in June that it was closing its Andover plant and moving the work to Vermont. About 60 people were employed at the Andover plant.

Snowe and Collins say all of those workers are eligible for the federal aid.

Trade Adjustment Assistance helps workers who lose their jobs or whose hours are reduced because of trade-related foreign competition. The displaced workers will be eligible for employment training, income support, job search allowance, and relocation services.
