(NEWS CENTER) -- A Canadian court has extended Fraser Paper's protection from creditors.
The company now has until December 4th to outline its re-structuring plan. Fraser filed for bankruptcy protection in June. The company owns a paper mill and two sawmills in Maine: in Madawaska, Ashland and Masardis. Company officials say the paper mill is not affected by the filing, but the sawmills shut down when they ran out of lumber over the summer.
