Bangor Man Indicted On Assault Charge

BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- A Penobscot County grand jury indicted Sean Chaput, 21, of Bangor, on aggravated assault.

Bangor police arrested Chaput in August after they say he stabbed a 43-year-old man during a fight in the city.  Authorities say the injuries were not considered life threatening.

Chaput was initially released on $1,000 dollars cash bail, but was brought back to jail Sunday on charges that he violated his bail.
