BANGOR (NEWS CENTER)--  The winter parking rules for the City of Bangor is in effect starting Sunday, November 1st, through March.

People who park in the downtown area are being reminded by police that the winter parking rules are in effect.

While there is no snow on the streets yet, Sergeant Paul Edwards of the Bangor Police Department says it's good to make sure people are in the habit of following the winter parking rules, so when the snow flies, everyone is already used to the changes.

Sergeant Edwards says there have already been some tickets handed out for people parking on city streets between midnight and 6am.  He says, not following the winter parking rules could get you a ticket and some towing fees.  For more information on the parking rules click here.
