Portland Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) -- Police in Portland are looking for the man they say robbed the Key Bank branch at 400 Forest Avenue on Tuesday.

It happened around 2:20pm. Investigators say a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say he took off on Falmouth Street, headed toward the University of Southern Maine. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male in his late 30's, approximately 5'8" tall weighing about 160 lbs. He was clean shaven and has short hair. He was wearing jeans, a blue jacket, gray t-shirt, sunglasses and a tan baseball cap with light green brim.

Portland Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call them at (207) 874-8592.
