FORT FAIRFIELD (NEWS CENTER) -- State police say three adults were killed Friday when the pickup truck they were in collided with a pulp truck Friday.

It happened on the North Caribou Road just after noon. Initial reports had indicated that two of the victims were children.

Troopers say the pickup truck was in the wrong land when it collided head-on with the pulp truck and burst into flames. The victims were burned beyond recognition.

The driver of the pulp truck was treated for minor injuries.
