BANGOR (NEWS CENTER)--  Friday afternoon a group of farmers and small business owners were at Senator Olympia Snowe's office in Bangor dropping off a letter urging her not to vote to repeal the estate tax.

As it stands now, the estate tax will expire in 2010, but the Obama administration is working to get that extended.

There's also a Bill lawmakers are considering that would lower the tax over the next ten years to a rate of 35 percent.

The group at the senator's office today said the elimination of the tax would negatively affects their businesses because there would less money for infrastructure and development.
