PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER)-- Representatives say Portland the number of passengers using the jetport is on the rise.
They say the had the best third quarter they have ever had.
The jetport released numbers today showing that more than 565,000 passengers passed through the jetport from July to September of 2009. They say that is about 1 1/2% more than the third quarter for 2008 which was a record setting year for them.
While the numbers for the third quarter are up, officials from the jetport say that year to date numbers are down some from 2008.
Jetport Director Paul Bradbury says he believes the growth is due to more people using Portland as opposed to Boston's Logan Airport of Manchester Airport in New Hampshire.
