(NEWS CENTER)-- CMP will be shutting off service to about 5,100 customers in in several cities and towns Saturday to perform maintenance.

The areas affected by the planned outage include Belfast, Frankfort Hampden, Monroe, Prospect, Searsport, Stockton Springs and Winterport.

The outage is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, from 1AM to about 6AM.

The outage was originally scheduled for 11:30 PM Friday but CMP decided to delay the work because of some concerns from local businesses.

Crews will remove a portion of transmission line out of the Belfast Substation that is no longer in use and will reconfigure the remainder of the line.

The outage will affect most or all of Frankfort, Prospect, Searsport, Stockton Springs, and Winterport; along with small portions of Belfast, Hampden, Monroe, and Swanville.
