BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- The Bangor Land Trust says it does not plan to make any changes in who can use the multi-use trails at its Walden-Parke Preserve.

The Land Trust made that statement Thursday as it unveiled its new management plan for the 205-acre preserve.

People who hike, bike, cross country ski, bird watch or snowmobile will still be able to do those activities.

Members of the land trust also put out a call for volunteers to help fix the trail.

"There's a lot of water on these trails. Everybody knows we had a muddy, rainy summer, and so we need to dig some ditches to drain the water off," said Land Trust president Lucy Quimby. "We're going to be putting bog bridging along some of the really wet spots, That's a very low planking that rests on logs at each end, and it keeps people out of the mud, and keeps the trail from being deteriorated."

Anyone willing to help out can call the Bangor Land Trust at 942-1010 or click here.
