ORONO (NEWS CENTER)-- The importance of the arts was on display in Orono today. Students from eight area grammar schools were invited to Orono High School to see a performance of Cinderella.

It was part of an effort by the school to sell itself and to show the students some of what the high school has to offer them, if their parents decide to send them there.

Jim Chasse, the Orono High School principal says, "Orono is a university town, so the arts are pretty big here. To bring all those schools in the area together is a good thing.  It's good for their future, and it gives them something to dream about.

There will be two more performances of the play at Orono High School: tonight at 7 p.m.  and tomorrow night at 7:30  p.m.
