LEWISTON (NEWS CENTER) -- State police have identified the man killed in a fatal chase just north of the Lewiston exit of the Maine Turnpike.

Troopers say Luis Andrades-Garcia of Portland was going over a hundred miles an hour in a car owned by a friend in Massachusetts. State police say they received calls about the vehicle driving erratically. The car passed a trooper in Auburn who tried to pull it over. It crashed in Lewiston moments later, striking the guard rail and the rear of a tractor trailer, before overturning and catching fire.

Andrades-Garcia did not have a driver's license and had served time recently on a drug conviction at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham.
