(NEWS CENTER)-- People in the midcoast area will get the chance to get rid of some old medications.

An area-wide medication collections is going on until 2:00 Friday, November 20th. 

People can used bring unused, unwanted and outdated medications to 6 locations for disposal.

They are the West Bath Fire Department on State Road, The Richmond Senior Center on Front Street, The Mid Coast Senior Health Center in Brunswick, the Highlands on Elm Street in Topsham, Spectrum Generations in Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor Town Hall on Howard Street.

All prescription, over the counter, and veterinary medications should be in their original containers with labels.
