ROCHESTER, NH (NEWS CENTER) - The man who touched off the state's first Amber Alert will be returned to Maine to face charges here.

Gary Traynham of Kennebunk appeared in a Rochester, New Hampshire courtroom Friday where he waived extradition.

Maine authorities now have 14-days to bring him back to the state.

He's charged with gross sexual assault and burglary, but officials have said those charges will likely be upgraded.

Traynham is accused of abducting his 2-year-old daughter Hailey after assaulting his estranged girlfriend, who is Hailey's mother.

Traynham was found by a hunter in Milton, New Hampshire the day after the Amber Alert was sent out.

His daughter was unharmed in the incident and was reunited with her mother.
