HAMPDEN (NEWS CENTER) -- Hampden Police are looking for help to catch a thief who they say broke into a house, stole a bunch of credit cards, and then went on a shopping spree.

Authorities say the woman went to several stores in Bangor on October 20th and charged about 5,000 dollars worth of items using stolen credit cards.

Police say the credit cards were stolen from a home on Sawyer Road in Hampden along with jewelry, laptops, and other items.

Police say the burglar was able to break into the home using a garage door opener that had been stolen from the homeowner's car earlier in the day.

According to police, the woman in the surveillance video was driving a forest green minivan and used the stolen credit cards at Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, Dicks Sporting Goods, Sears, K-mart and Toys R Us.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call Hampden Police at 862-4000.
