
BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- An Orrington man was arrested and charged with operating under the influence after police say he hit an unmarked police car.
Police say 31-year-old Nathan Rosenbeck was driving on Cumberland Street around 10:30 Friday night when his truck slammed into the back of an unmarked Bangor Police car. They say the cruiser was parked legally on the side of the road. No one was in the car at the time of the crash.
Rosenbeck was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his face from the air bag deploying.
Police say after investigating they found that Rosenbeck was driving under the influence and charged him with OUI. Police say the estimated damage to the police car is about $4,000 and is $5000 to Rosenbeck's vehicle.
