BOSTON (AP) -- A Boston man police say caused a fatal head-on crash while drunk and driving the wrong way on the Massachusetts Turnpike is scheduled to face a judge.

Phillip Daniels is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Monday on charges including motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol and operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury.

Authorities say the 33-year-old Daniels drove west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 in his black Jeep Grand Cherokee at about 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Daniels allegedly struck a sports car head-on near the Prudential Tunnel, killing the passenger and seriously injuring the driver. Daniels was not hurt. Authorities did not immediately release the victims' names.
