Mount View High School's "Share" program
Mount View High School's "Share" performs service projects throughout the school year.
Around Thanksgiving they hold a school-based food drive and donate the food to the local pantry.
At Christmas they shop for Christmas presents for a small child through the "Wings of Love" project; these gifts are often the only ones that child will receive for Christmas.
The spring project is "Project Sleep-in-a-Box." To shed light on the problem of homelessness (often invisible in Waldo County), the "Share" group sleeps outside in cardboard boxes on a chilly night - they've collected pledges for their 12-hour night out, which they donate to a Waldo County homeless youth assistance project.
