SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Maine State Police are looking for a teenagers from Sanford in connection to some recent burglaries.
State Police have issued arrest warrants for 18-year-old Michael Clapp and have already arrested 18-year-old Dylan Girard. Clapp's warrant is for Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property, while Girard's was for Receiving Stolen Property.
The two are suspected to have been involved with recent burglaries in the Hollis and Alton, New Hampshire areas. The two teens are both from Sanford.
Girard was arrested Wednesday evening by State Police. The teens are believed to have committed a burglary in Alton on September 26 in which a firearm, a pickup truck, and an ATV were stolen. All items were later recovered in the Limington area. Two other young men, are already being held at the York County jail on charges, related to those burglaries.
Police say there is concern that Clapp may be in possession of another firearm, taken from a home burglary on September 20 in Hollis. Clapp is believed to be staying in the Portland or Gray areas. Anyone with information on Clapp is asked to call State Police in Gray at 657-3030.
