BUCKSPORT (NEWS CENTER) -- The owner of a new motorcycle school in Bucksport said enrollment is at an all-time high.

A and J Motorcycle Safety School offers two-day courses where students can learn everything they need to know to get their motorcycle driving licenses. When students complete the course, they receive a certificate that qualifies them to autimatically get their licenses.

Co-owner Terry Atwood said high gas prices have lead to higher student enrollment. He said moving the school to Bucksport also was good for business. Bucksport Economic Development Director Dave Milan said the school has been beneficial for Bucksport businesses as well.

"It's a two day school," Milan told NEWS CENTER. "Folks are coming from all over the state they need a place to stay, so they're staying in local hotels. They're eating in local restaurants. The multiplier factor is really good for businesses like this for the town of Buckport."
