Now look at where the heaviest rain fell yesterday…over an inch, in that same zone, estimated by radar. Will this eliminate concerns? Absolutely not, but it certainly won’t hurt.
Sadly, this will be the only soaking rain for a while. The next chance will be on Friday with a cold front. The temperature adjustment, not rain, will be most significant with that front as highs will only reach the lower 60s over the weekend. Scattered frost will be possible Sunday and Monday mornings too. It should be the perfect weekend for apple picking and searching for foliage.
The big chill down is almost right on cue as Autumn officially arrives this Thursday morning.
