When Star Wars premiered in theaters on May 25, 1977, it made a star out of Harrison Ford. But he wasn't the first choice to play Han Solo.
It seems just about every actor from his generation was up for the part including Al Pacino, Burt Reynolds and Bill Murray, to name just a few more.
Ford was originally hired as a stand-in to run lines with the other actors, until eventually it became clear that he was the perfect Han Solo all along.
