The play by J.M. Barrie that made Peter Pan famous debuted in London on Dec. 27, 1904.
He begins his adventure with the Darling children when he flies into their bedroom in search of his shadow. After finding it stuffed into a drawer, Peter first tried to reattach it with soap and burst out crying when it didn't work. The noise woke Wendy, and with the help of her sewing kit, she put them back together in no time.
