MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) - Flash floods createddramatic scenes throughout Mobile County, Alabama over the weekend.
Cars were submerged, homeowners were stranded and dams were busted.
The man-made lake in the New Headwaters subdivision emptied when the spillway broke up, causing a deep hole about 120 feet long and 40 feet wide.
The water washed down and swamped homeowners, forcing some rescues.
"This reminds us a little bit of what the Hoover Dam kind of looks like, in a miniature scale. this is just amazing," said resident Bill Webb.
