Officer involved shooting being investigated by N.H. State Police in the midst of manhunt

BELMONT, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) --  The N.H State Police Major Crime Unit is investigating a police shooting incident that took place on Friday.

N.H State Police say an officer fired multiple shots at a fleeing suspect’s vehicle during a police chase on South Road in Belmont at approximately 1:30 a.m.  Hayden Moon fled from police after a routine traffic stop revealed he had a warrant for his arrest.  Police say during an attempt to arrest Moon, he sped off.

Moon's vehicle has been found. However, police are still searching for Moon and asking for the public’s help.  If anyone knows the whereabouts of Moon they are asked to call the New Hampshire State Police at # (603) 223-4381.
