DALLAS (NBC) -- Vodka is getting a makeover.
The clear liquor now comes in just about every flavor imaginable, and its changing the way liquor stores stock their shelves.
"In this market and in this day and age, flavored vodkas are taking over," admits Steven Sign of Spec's Liquor in Dallas, Texas.
And taking up space on the shelves at liquor stores.
Sign is the vodka guru for Spec's, and says flavored vodkas are flooding the market.
At last count there are more than 50 flavors for sale, from desserts like chocolate chip cookie dough and cotton candy, to vegetable and herb flavors.
There's even bacon-flavored vodka.
Steven says the most popular flavored vodkas are often mixed together to make a drinkable dessert, and the creative combinations dreamed up by bartenders are fueling the craze.
