(NBC) -- Peg Perego is recalling hundreds of thousands of strollers.
The company is recalling about 223,000 Venezia and Pliko-P3 strollers made between January 2004 and September 2007.
Peg Perego says a 6-month-old died of strangulation in one of the strollers in 2004 and a 7-month-old was nearly strangled in 2006.
Only strollers with a child tray and one cup holder are part of the recall.
Strollers with two cup holders are not part of the recall.
Consumers should stop using the strollers and contact Peg Perego for a free repair kit at 888-734-6020 or visit the firm's website www.PegPeregoUSA.com.
