PETERSBURG, Alaska - A woman's camera was rolling when the Alaska ferry she was on slammed into a seafood processing plant.
It happened on May 7, when athe state ferry hit the Ocean Beauty Seafood dock head-on.
The woman tinued recording in disbelief, managing to run to the front of the boat and videotape the aftermath and significant damage to the cement dock.
Reports say the ferry struck the dock while trying to perform a 360-degree maneuver.
While the ferry escaped with only minor damage, the idled processing plant is still trying to obtain cost estimates for numerous repairs.
Department of Transportation officials say the crash is still under investigation but its believed a very strong current may have contributed to the incident.
There were no reports of injuries.
