TOWSON, Maryland (WBAL) -- Boston Marathon bombing survivor Erika Brannock helped kick off a new year at a brand-new school Friday.
Liz Harlan, the founder of the new, independent Davenport Preschool in Towson's Hampton Gardens neighborhood said they've had their fair share of challenges and hurdles getting the school open, but April 15 was the hardest day when Brannock was seriously injured at the Boston Marathon.
Months have passed since Henry Baker saw his preschool teacher, and it was an emotional reunion on Friday.
"He sees her and it's just Ms. Brannock, he doesn't care that she looks a little bit different. It doesn't bother him at all. He's just happy to see her," said Henry's father, John.
