FALMOUTH - It took the LPGA 62 years, but they finally teed off in Maine.

Thursday's pro-am for the Hannaford Community Challenge was the state's first LPGA affiliated event.  The four-day affair is a part of the Legends Tour, a pro tour comprised women 45 and older.  The event consists of the pro-am, practice rounds and clinics on Friday, and a two-round tournament that takes place Saturday and Sunday.

Six LPGA hall of famers highlight the field of 40, including the likes of Nancy Lopez and New England native Pat Bradley.

Of the $200,000 purse, $30,000 will go to the winner.
