NEWS CENTER - Biddeford's Brian Dumoulin went from national champ at Boston College two-months ago to signing his first professional contract with the Carolina Hurricanes a few days later. Now he's on the move again. The Biddeford native was traded during the first-round of the 2012 NHL draft to the Penguins.
Dumoulin was a part of a package used to acquire Penguins center Jordan Staal. Along with Dumoulin, the Pens acquired center Brandon Sutter, and defenseman Derrick Pouliot, the eighth overall pick in the draft.
Two other Mainers are expected to hear their names called during Saturday's rounds two through seven: South Portland's Jon Gilles and Cumberland's Brian Hart.
