NEWS CENTER- Five years ago, Kevin Garnett revitalized a fledgling Boston Celtics franchise by winning his first NBA championship. Apparently, the desire for the 36 year-old to win his second title still outweighs hanging up his shoes.
The Celtics star forward will re-sign with Boston for a reported 3 years, $34 million. The 14-time NBA all-star was also strongly considering retirement since the Celtics were eliminated by the Miami Heat in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals. In his five seasons with Boston, the team has made the playoffs each year, advancing to three Eastern Conference Finals, two NBA finals, and winning the franchises 17th NBA title back in 2008.
