NEWS CENTER- The 20th anniversary of the Sprint Cup taking place at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend was already a special enough occassion for Newburgh native and former series driver Ricky Craven. Now it's even more special for him, as he'll drive the pacer for this Sunday's race.
The New England fan favorite competed 17 times at his "home" course on the circuit winning two poles and achieving two top-five and two two top-ten finishes. The ESPN analyst since 2008 now resides in New Hampshire.
He'll be joined by two other recognizable Mainers at the track on Sunday. Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief Steve Letarte is a Cornish native and Paul Menard's crew chief Slugger Labbe is from Biddeford.
