San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Hall of Fame wide receiver and Chargers wide receivers coach Charlie Joiner announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday.

Joiner, who ranks second in Chargers history in receiving yards (9,203) and fourth in touchdown catches (47), was the team's receivers coach since 2008. He also was the receivers coach for the Chargers from 1987-91, as well as the Bills (1992-2000) and Chiefs (2001-07).
