(NEWS CENTER)-- It was quite a weekend for the U-Maine mens hockey team. First, the Black Bears went to Chestnut Hill and swept 3rd ranked Boston College with 4-1 and 3-1 wins. Then, Jon Swavely was named the Hockey East co-player of the week while teammate Martin Ouillette was named Hockey East defensive player of the week.

Meanwhile, from Black Bears to Polar Bears and the men's hockey team at Bowdoin is on quite a run. The Polar Bears are 16-1-1 this season and third in the national rankings. That's their highest rating since the polls started back in 1998.
