Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Tiger Woods' 75th PGA Tour win at the
Farmers Insurance Open on Monday helped him move within 3.144 points of No. 1
Rory McIlroy in this week's world golf rankings.
McIlroy remained in the top spot despite not playing in a tournament. He was
followed by Woods, Luke Donald, Justin Rose, Louis Oosthuizen and Adam Scott
-- all unchanged from a week ago.
Brandt Snedeker moved up one spot to seventh following his tie for second in
La Jolla, while Lee Westwood dropped down to No. 8 and Bubba Watson stayed at
No. 9. Jason Dufner and Steve Stricker exchanged spots, with the former moving
up to 10th. Ian Poulter and Keegan Bradley also flip-flopped, with the
Englishman jumping to No. 12.
Sergio Garcia improved five spots to No. 14 courtesy of a tie for second place
at the Qatar Masters. The Spaniard was followed by Dustin Johnson, Webb
Simpson, Charl Schwartzel and Graeme McDowell, who all dropped a spot.
Nick Watney tied for fourth in La Jolla, which allowed him to crack the top 20
at No. 19 -- up from 21st. Peter Hanson dropped two spots to No. 20, while
Phil Mickelson stayed put at No. 22.
Chris Wood eagled the final hole at the Qatar Masters on Saturday to secure
his first European Tour win -- a finish which allowed the Englishman to jump
from No. 142 to 60th in this week's rankings.
