Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Brittney Griner scored 19 points, grabbed 13
rebounds and dished out nine helpers as No. 1 Baylor took a 80-47 victory over
Kansas State in Big 12 Conference Tournament quarterfinal action.
Destiny Williams led Baylor with 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting and Odyssey
Sims added 10 points and seven assists for the Lady Bears (30-1), who move on
to face Oklahoma State in the semifinals on Sunday.
Brittany Chambers netted a game-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds
for the Wildcats (15-17), who trailed 21-3 just seven minutes in and never
recovered.
Baylor led at the break, 45-18, and quickly expanded its advantage to 63-33
with 9 1/2 minutes to play. The Lady Bears cruised the rest of the way for
their 28th straight victory.
