Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - Russell Westbrook scored a game-high 27
points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists, as the Oklahoma City
Thunder held off the San Antonio Spurs, 100-88, in a matchup of the top two
teams in the Western Conference on Thursday at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Kevin Durant followed with 25 points, nine boards and six assists, while Derek
Fisher nailed five 3-pointers en route to 17 points off the bench for the
Thunder, who have won two straight and five of their last six to move within
one-half game of the Spurs for the best record in the Western Conference.
Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard each posted a double-double for the Spurs, who
have lost three of their last four. Both players poured in 24 points, with
Leonard grabbing 14 rebounds and Duncan adding 11 boards in the setback.
Tony Parker, who sat out Wednesday's 98-84 win over Orlando, managed just two
points on 1-of-6 shooting from the floor.
