Barnes strikes out ten in Sea Dogs win

READING, PA. (NEWS CENTER) - Portland Sea Dogs pitcher Matt Barnes showed why he's the Red Sox top pitching prospect with ten strikeouts in 2-1 victory over the Reading Fightin' Phils. 

Barnes (2-1) pitched six innings allowing a run, three hits, and two walks. 

A J.C Linares RBI double in the first gave the Sea Dogs the early lead.  After Reading tied the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth, Shannon Wilkerson's solo shot in the top half of the seventh proved to be the gamewinner. 

Portland (15-9) will close their series in search of a shortened sweep and their fourth straigtht win on Thursday.
