Budapest, Hungary (Sports Network) - Surging Romanian Simona Halep was among
Wednesday's quarterfinal victors at the $235,000 Hungarian Grand Prix tennis
The third seed leveled Hungarian wild card Agnes Bukta 6-1, 6-1 in a mere 50
minutes on the red clay at Romai Tennis Academy.
The 21-year-old Halep has now won 13 of her last 14 matches on the WTA,
including her first-ever titles in Nuremberg, Germany, and Den Bosch,
Netherlands, in back-to-back weeks last month.
Her quarterfinal opponent on Friday will be Hungary's Timea Babos.
