OAKLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Former Messalonskee High School football head coach Wes Littlefield will be coaching football this coming fall. Last week, he accepted a position as the assistant coach at Winslow High School - his alma mater and also where he coached under Mike Siviski for 11 years before taking the head coaching job at Messalonskee.
Halfway through last season, Littlefield was accused of allegedly coming into contact with a player's helmet using force with his hand. Since then, District Attorney Allen Kelly says he decided not to prosecute because the charges were not supported by any evidence under Maine law.
Wednesday is the first time Littlefield is talking to any media since all of that happened. He says he just wants to move on to the next stage of his coaching career.
