FOXBORO, Massachussets (NEWS CENTER) - In an off-season full of storylines and controversy with names like Welker, Gronkowski, Tebow, and Hernandez, Patriots defensive back Alfonzo Dennard's off the field issues slipped quietly under the radar.
15 months after being convicted of assaulting a police officer ... the 2nd-year pro was arrested a few weeks back on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Having not only jeopardized his position as a starter, but a spot on the roster, Dennard is letting his legal road take it's course.
"All I'm worried about it worried about the present right now. And the present right now is being on the field and trying to help my team win and just do as much as I can," he said."
Dennard was already sentenced to two years probation and 30 days jail to be served next March. He'll have a probation hearing on August 27th to see if his latest charge was a violation of that probation.
