ALTOONA, Penn. (NEWS CENTER) - Much like the Red Sox on Wednesday, the Portland Sea Dogs erased a ninth inning deficit only to fall in extras. Their fate was a 6-5 loss in 12 to the Altoona Curve.
Portland generated 19 hits, but could only produces five runs. Three hits and three runs batted in came courtesy of recent Sea Dogs call up Deven Marrero.
Portland (58-64) will play their rubber game against the Curve (56-65) on Thursday night.
