Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Anze Kopitar scored the winner just 48
seconds into overtime as the Los Angeles Kings rallied for a 3-2 win over the
Vancouver Canucks on Monday.
Slava Voynov carried the puck through the neutral zone then dumped it to the
left corner boards. Following the puck up, Voynov was able to cleanly grab the
disc as the defender overskated. From there, Voynov centered the disc and
Kopitar one-timed it home past Roberto Luongo for the win.
Mike Richards tied the game in the third period, while Kyle Clifford had the
other goal for the Kings, who snapped a two-game slide. Ben Scrivens made 37
stops in the win.
Christopher Tanev and Henrik Sedin scored for the Canucks, who have lost seven
of their last eight. Luongo made 19 stops in the loss.
