UMaine football lands prized prospect

NEWS CENTER - Maine's historic season is starting to pay dividends on the recruiting trail as the Black Bears fended off league rivals and FBS schools with the commtment of Pennsylvania prospect Karlon Quiller. 

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported that the Scranton (PA)High School receiver, who set a program record with 1,360 yards and 20 touchdowns his senior season chose the Black Bears over the likes of CAA rivals Villanova as well as FBS programs Syracuse, Connecticut, and Temple. 

Quiller's cited he Maine as being the "most comfortable" fit for him. 

The 19-year old just finished a season at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia, where he played as a 6'1'', 180-pound linebacker, per the team's roster.
