CHICAGO, Illinois (NEWS CENTER)-- Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli is day to day after dislocating his ring finger while sliding head first into second base during Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the White Sox. The injury looked pretty gruesome, Napoli's finger was, to use his word, "sideways," but X-rays showed that the finger was not fractured.
Napoli is not in the line up for Wednesday's game against Chicago. Daniel Nava will take on first base duties for the night. The game kicks off at 8:10 Eastern Time.
