Portland boys win big in first game of the high school basketball season

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The high school basketball regular season tips off Friday night, but Portland got the party started a day early.

The reigning AA champion Bulldog boys hosted Noble at the Portland Expo Thursday night.  The Maine Red Claws will occupy the Expo floor Friday night when Portland alum Josh Longstaff and the Erie Bayhawks come to town.

Portland knocked down the Knights 101-43. Terion Moss lead the way for the Bulldogs with 40 points.

Since high school basketball is back, so is the Fifth Quarter.. Tune in at 11 p.m. every Friday night for highlights and scores from games across the state. It all starts Friday, December 8, so keep it locked on NEWS CENTER.
